How do I know whether a hydraulic gantry crane is suitable for my project?

No. The height of an aluminum gantry crane can only be adjusted under no-load conditions. The load must be completely removed, and the gantry must be positioned on stable, level ground before any height adjustment is carried out.

Depending on the model, two height-adjustment methods are available:

  • Hand-winch adjustment: The upright section is raised to the required height using a hand-operated winch and then secured with locking pins.
  • Manual lifting adjustment: The adjustable section is lifted by hand to the required position and then secured with locking pins.

The locking pins must be fully inserted and checked before the crane is put into service.
