When heavy equipment needs to be lifted, moved laterally, and transported longitudinally in confined spaces, a hydraulic gantry crane combines these operations in one lifting system.
MOTCRANE offers four-point hydraulic gantry systems with rated capacities of 30, 40, 50, 60, and 100 metric tons (t), as well as higher-capacity and custom-designed solutions. If you have reference drawings or technical specifications from ENERPAC or other manufacturers, send them to us. We can review the required capacity, lifting heights, header beam dimensions, and operating functions, then prepare a technical proposal and quotation.
Four hydraulic lifting units work together to raise and lower the load. Single-stage, two-stage, or three-stage lifting configurations are available to meet different lifting height and capacity requirements.
Four powered side-shift trolleys travel along two header beams, allowing the lifting points to move laterally for accurate load positioning.
The travel mechanisms beneath the lifting units move along modular skid tracks, allowing the gantry to transport suspended loads longitudinally within the specified operating limits.
A typical four-point hydraulic gantry system consists of two gantry frames, four hydraulic lifting units, two header beams, and four powered side-shift trolleys. The lifting units support and raise the header beams, while the trolleys provide adjustable load suspension points.
Three dimensions are particularly important when selecting the lifting configuration:
◊ Retracted Overall Height: The vertical distance from the installation reference level to the highest point of the gantry when fully retracted.
◊ Maximum Extended Overall Height: The vertical distance from the same reference level to the highest point of the gantry when fully extended.
◊ Lifting Stroke: The actual vertical travel of the header beams during hydraulic lifting.
These dimensions help determine the required lifting stroke and whether a single-stage, two-stage, or three-stage configuration is appropriate.
For more guidance on selecting the correct lifting range, read our guide to the required lifting height for a hydraulic gantry crane.
MOTCRANE offers standard header beam lengths of 8 m and 10 m, with 12 m and other custom lengths available for specific projects. The header beam overall length, support center distance, clear span, and available side-shift travel are specified in the corresponding technical drawings.
A typical four-point system uses two header beams with four powered side-shift trolleys. Their positions can be adjusted along the beams to match the load attachment points and achieve the required lateral positioning.
The gantry travels along modular steel skid track assemblies. Each track consists of connected sections with guide rails for the travel wheel assemblies. Track sections can be combined to achieve the required travel distance.
The control system supports individual and coordinated operation of the hydraulic lifting units, side-shift trolleys, and longitudinal travel mechanisms. Industrial remote controls and touchscreen interfaces allow operators to control movements and monitor lifting heights, loads, and operating status. Synchronization tolerances and protection functions are specified for each system.

Already have reference drawings, product brochures, or tender specifications from ENERPAC, Lift Systems, Tadano, Enerprom, Gidrolast, or another manufacturer? Send them to MOTCRANE for technical evaluation.
We can compare the required system capacity, retracted and extended heights, lifting stroke, header beam dimensions, and overall equipment size, together with side-shift, longitudinal travel, and control requirements.
Based on this review, MOTCRANE can prepare its own general arrangement drawings, technical specifications, scope of supply, and quotation, with any relevant differences from the reference requirements clearly identified.

The dimensions shown are for engineering reference only. Hydraulic gantry systems from different manufacturers may use different lifting configurations, header beam arrangements, skid tracks, and height measurement methods. These figures do not represent MOTCRANE product specifications or imply any affiliation with the manufacturers listed.
Hydraulic gantry cranes are used for installing, loading, unloading, and relocating heavy industrial equipment, including machine tools, pressure vessels, transformers, and large machinery. They are especially useful where conventional lifting equipment has limited access or insufficient working space.
MOTCRANE has supplied hydraulic gantry systems for overseas projects with capacities including 30, 50, 60, 100, and 120 tons. Relevant project references can be provided to support technical discussions. Explore our 30-ton hydraulic gantry crane project in Russia and 30+30-ton hydraulic gantry system for pressure vessel lifting.
Depending on the project, equipment may be pre-assembled and function-tested before shipment. It is then disassembled and packed in wooden crates or other suitable packaging for transport. Upon arrival, the system is assembled, electrically connected, and commissioned according to the supplied installation and operating documentation. Drawings, inspection records, and other documentation are provided in accordance with the agreed scope of supply.
They refer to the rated lifting capacity of the complete four-point hydraulic gantry system under specified operating conditions, not the capacity of an individual lifting leg.
MOTCRANE also offers 40-ton and 50-ton systems. Higher-capacity systems exceeding 100 tons and non-standard configurations can be developed according to project requirements.
Yes. Send us the reference specifications or general arrangement drawings. We will review the required capacity, dimensions, lifting stroke, and operating functions, then prepare a MOTCRANE technical proposal and quotation.
The selection depends on the required retracted height, maximum extended height, lifting stroke, and load capacity. These requirements are evaluated together to determine a suitable lifting configuration.
Yes. MOTCRANE’s standard four-point hydraulic gantry configuration includes powered side-shift trolleys and longitudinal travel along modular skid tracks. The specific components, speeds, and control arrangements are detailed in the quotation and technical drawings.
Yes. We offer standard 8 m and 10 m header beams, with 12 m and other lengths available as custom options. The overall header beam length and clear span are specified separately in the technical drawings.
Not necessarily. The allowable lifting capacity may vary between lifting stages. The capacity at maximum extension must be verified against the load chart for the selected system. For additional industry guidance on telescopic hydraulic gantry systems, refer to ASME B30.1.
The system is generally delivered in disassembled sections. On-site work includes mechanical assembly, electrical connections, and commissioning in accordance with the installation instructions. Any additional installation support and acceptance requirements are defined in the project contract.
Please provide the required system lifting capacity, retracted overall height, maximum extended overall height, and header beam length. If you have reference drawings or specifications from another manufacturer, you can send those instead as a starting point. Additional details can be confirmed during the technical review.
