This project includes 6 sets of 1 ton wall mounted jib cranes installed inside the customer’s workshop for material lifting and parts handling near fixed workstations. Mounted directly on the existing concrete columns, the jib cranes provide local lifting coverage without the need for separate floor-mounted columns.
This space-saving design helps improve handling efficiency around the workstations while keeping the workshop floor and walkways clear for daily operation.
This project includes six sets of 1 ton wall mounted jib cranes for material handling and auxiliary lifting at fixed workstations inside the customer’s workshop. After reviewing the site conditions, MOTCRANE proposed mounting the cranes on the existing building columns, with one jib crane arranged at approximately six-meter intervals.
This layout allows the jib cranes to cover several designated working areas, helping the customer lift and move components, tools, and other workshop materials around each workstation.
The workshop already had production equipment and fixed walkways, leaving limited available floor space. The original building layout also did not reserve enough space for an overhead crane system. If column-mounted jib cranes were used, extra floor columns and new foundations would be required, which could affect staff movement, material flow, and the existing equipment arrangement.
Based on these site conditions, MOTCRANE recommended a wall-mounted jib crane solution. The cranes provide practical lifting coverage for the required workstations while keeping the workshop floor and walkways clear.
The customer needed several sets of light-duty lifting equipment near six fixed workstations inside the workshop. The cranes would be used to lift and move parts, tools, and other materials during daily production.
Since each workstation is operated by one worker and does not require large-area lifting coverage, the customer needed a compact lifting solution that was easy to operate and would not affect the existing workshop layout.
The main requirements for this project included:
♠ Rated load capacity of 1 ton;
♠ For indoor material handling within the workshop;
♠ To cover the local working area near each fixed workstation;
♠ To minimize floor space occupation;
♠ To avoid affecting existing aisles and production equipment layout;
♠ To support daily lifting operations for each worker;
♠ Suitable for installation on existing building columns or load-bearing structures.
Based on the customer’s application scenario and the layout of the existing production equipment, MOTCRANE provided a 1-ton wall-mounted jib crane solution for this project. The cranes are fixed to the workshop’s existing concrete structural columns and work together with electric chain hoists to complete material lifting and short-distance movement.
This solution is suitable for localized lifting needs near fixed workstations. Compared with overhead cranes or gantry cranes, wall-mounted jib cranes do not need to cover the entire workshop area or require runway tracks. They have a compact structure and can be arranged more flexibly according to the actual workstation layout.
Compared with column-mounted jib cranes, the wall-mounted structure does not require separate floor foundations. This makes it more suitable for workshops where existing equipment is already densely arranged or where clear passageways need to be maintained.
During the solution confirmation process, MOTCRANE focused on the installation position, column load-bearing condition, boom length, effective lifting height, rotation range, and the operator’s actual working process.
This allowed us to match the crane arrangement with the customer’s real workshop conditions, instead of simply offering a standard jib crane model.
